Just when you think you have more than you can handle...
Ok...I am about 7 weeks away from the big race! The training's getting harder and more time consumming. I just got offered a new part time job (working 7 days every 2 weeks), I have 4 kids, 3 that go to 3 different schools (at 3 different times), one who's school you have to put in a lot of volunteer time. I have a husband that doesn't understand why I want to do this and why I have to be gone so much. The holidays are upon us and I have a court hearing with my son's dad this month....
Then I read Tiffany's blog and it's all put into prospective...breathe!
I can't imagine how she does it. I give her major props. Health is something I think we all take for granted. I am a very blessed women and I have a very blessed family. I need to slow down, take one day at a time, and enjoy everything around me.
By the way Lea, I think all these reasons give you more of a reason to be training for a marathon. It is something you are doing just for yourself and the benefits of that will serve you in all those other areas of your life. I've got a lot going on right now, too, and if my running is the only thing I have to look forward to, so be it. Happy wife = happy life! You are an inspiration to so many people, including myself.
ReplyDeleteI think you're right Lisa. As a Mother your time is never your own, it's the 1 thing I've got. I'm glad I have your support. Jesse doesn't understand why I want to do this and he feels he doesnt get the time with me he wants....but he's definately benefiting...you couldn't of said it better!
